ProVerify is a Pittsburgh based full-service human resources support organization specializing in employment/background screening. The Verification Specialist position will be located at our corporate headquarters on the east side of Pittsburgh and will work primarily Monday through Friday with daylight hours.

Job Description:

The Verification Specialist performs tasks that support the operations/order processing function of the organization. The position would require that the person process all aspects of a client order adhering to all federal regulations and corporate policy pertaining to standard operating procedures and turn-around times.

Essential Functions:

Provide high-level administrative and operational support in performing the day-to-day operations of the company. These tasks include:

  • Assist in processing 40-50 criminal/employment verification background screening reports daily
  • Handle, on average 20-30 incoming/outgoing calls in the course of coordinating and completing the screening process on a daily basis
  • Be responsible for understanding and learning client specific protocols for up to 20-30 individual clients
  • Perform clerical functions such as reviewing applications submittals and preparing orders to be place with our vendors for additional processing
  • Assist in completing Application Verification’s quality control process and finalizing screening reports
  • Maintain accurate electronic processing notes with the highest regard for confidentiality and completeness
  • Interact with all staff members at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Be flexible and available in conjunction with the needs of the business, by performing assigned tasks of varying degrees of complexity

The ideal candidate should possess either an associates or certification program with 3 to 5 years of related experience within customer /administrative support position(s) or equivalent experience. Must pass background check/ds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour DOE
